The original description: “The savages inhabited near the Meiji Hot spring on Basianshan have been evolving. More modern constructions can be found, such as a water dam.” Basianshan is called Papagowaa by the Atayal. Kulas Group, also called Timburan Group, including Boai Gropu of the Atayal in Nanshi, is now located in Boai Village of Hoping Township in Taichung County.
