The original caption of the postcard describes this as a harvest festival dance of the Maran Group. But it should be a dance of the Lonckiouw Group of the Paiwan. The Lonckiouw Group is now located in Lide Village of Manzhou Township in Pingtung County. The famous Jialeshuei Scenic Area is nearby.
