The original description reads: “Getting water for everyday use seems very simple, but it is an important job. They have to carry the water they get from the bottom of the valley that can be 3,000 feet deep to the top of the mountain.” The photo was taken by Mori Ushinosuke in October 1914. It is a black and white picture. The girl on the right is wearing a blouse of the style of the Han, while the other two girls are wearing traditional aboriginal clothing.
