War Criminal Isayama Haruki on Trial

After Andō and Isayama were detained, they were sent to Shanghai on April 15, 1946 for trial by the Shanghai War Crimes Tribunal. Four days later on April 19, while still in the Tilanqiao Prison Andō wrote a goodbye letter to Commander-in-Chief of the China Expeditionary Army Okamura Yasuji then ingested poison to end his life.
