Mori Ushinosuke took a similar photo in September, 1905, at the same location and of the same person, but from a different angle. He described that this is the skull shelf of the chieftain of the Ueno Second Group, set up to the south of his home, with a big banyan tree in the background. The name of the person in the photo is Puraruyanchurum. The photo for this postcard should be taken by Mori Ushinosuke.
