In the photo, there are bundles of millet on the ground and on the roof, probably for drying out under the sun. e On the lower part of the photo there is a child with a pestle. The mortars of the Thao are different from those used by the Atayal people, and are more similar to those used by the Tsou people. A stamp mark reads: “In memory of the mountain climbing trip to Ali Mountain on September 16 of the 7th year of Showa.”
