Aborigines getting water

NCL Special Collection / 4052 / (N/A) / About 1920s / 《Faces of the Century (Part II)》

The three aborigines are carrying along a water scoop, two long bamboo containers, and two buckets, so they are probably going to the river to fetch water. They should be Paiwan people in Hengchun area and were referred to as “lower savages of Hengchun” in the documents of the Japanese Occupation Period.
