In 1951, Chen Feng-yuan, Yu You-ren, Jia Jing-de, Wang Kai-yun, Lin Xiong-xiang, and Wu Meng-zhou started the Taiwan Poetry Monthly. Zeng Jin-ke was nominated as director and Chen Feng-yuan as assistant director. Taiwan Poetry Monthly focused specifically on classical poetry, with submissions coming from famous poets in Taiwan and China, including Huang Chun-qing, Juzheng, Zhang Mo-jun, Li Yu-shu, etc. The publication stopped five years later in 1956.
